Drawing 1 – Zentangles & Illusions – Students were able to listen to meditative music to create a relaxing zentangle design. Along with incorporating an illusions of their choice. They were able to choose any drawing medium for this assignment

Self Portraits – Students started by taking a picture of themselves. We printed their photos out and used the gridding method on top of their photos. As for the background students were able to choose any drawing medium of their choice. From pastels, pens, markers, and spray paint. They copied each grid box from their photo onto their backgrounds and were able to add any details to their liking. Getting different results from each student.

Art Fundamentals – Romero Britto Inspired Art Piece- Students researched the artist Romero Britto. Britto’s paintings and sculptures are full of shapes, colors, and lines. We explored going outside the box. Picking an image of their liking and turning it into the bright eye-catching Britto style.

Contour Line Art Piece – Students chose an image of their choice. They had to create three different squares. The first art piece was based on color value. The second piece using different size texts. The third piece using different size contour lines. All making it appear to be moving back into space.
